Laura Magdalena Alfonso is currently pursuing her MFA at Florida International University. She began painting while earning her PhD in Clinical Psychology. After graduate school, as a practicing psychotherapist, the desire to produce something tangible, an object that could be looked at and touched, fueled her love of painting. As a self-taught artist, time, passion for painting and the message of the image is what drives the painting.
